United Paws of Tillamook volunteer Brenda Sours was drawn into rescue and foster work when she discovered a pregnant cat abandoned in a vacant house she was inspecting. She took the cat home, got her set up in an extra room to give birth, and fostered the little family until all, including mom, was adopted. Brenda never looked back after that, creating a foster cat paradise in the “kitty room” of her and partner Chet Austin’s home outside Cloverdale, Oregon. Not only a wonderful foster, Brenda quickly became known as the group’s “Super Trapper”, dubbed so for her ability to catch nearly any cat in the live traps used for rescue and spay/neuter/return programs. As if that were not enough, Brenda is a social media animal, and manages the popular United Paws Facebook page. Despite her relatively short time with the group, Brenda has managed to positively impact the lives of hundreds of Tillamook County cats and dogs. Kudos, Brenda!
